Rupert Cook
Rupert Cook is Non Executive Chairman of Red Penguin Ventures.
Rupert has experienced technology businesses from every angle over the last 30 years. He was one of the founding team to build up an IT Training and Development business from scratch in the late '80s, through to sale to a UK PLC eight years later. Since then, he has bought and sold technology businesses both as a principal and for clients around the world. He has carried out numerous commercial due diligence exercises for banks and private equity companies, run fund-raisings for and sat on the boards of over a dozen innovative technology businesses and also acted on the other side of the fence as a venture capital investor. Rupert has built up particular experience and knowledge in the security software sector over the last seventeen years, having been an advisor to AVG and Malwarebytes in their early stages and more recently has made investments in six security companies. Rupert is an entrepreneurial leader and advisor, a business & corporate development professional with a strong network in the European Technology sector. He is also the author of two published business books and a frequent public speaker on Technology Company Growth and Value Realisation. Rupert is also Chairman of BSC VCT PLC. |
Jane Orme
Corporate Advisor with seven years’ experience leading and assisting on corporate sales, acquisitions, investments and fundraises.
Specialising in technology, in particular cyber-security, Jane has worked on a number of security transactions including companies in the anti-virus, anti-malware, system speed-up, open source compliance, code checking, image analysis, single sign-on, multi factor authentication and web filtering spaces. Jane is passionate about working alongside clients to help them grow their businesses and feels incredibly fortunate to have the privilege of working with Red Penguin’s exceptional portfolio companies and clients. Previously Jane worked as a qualified corporate transactional lawyer, which allows her to provide a complementary viewpoint to traditional corporate advisors. |
Fleur Cook
Fleur previously worked at Harrods, the world-famous department store, for over eleven years in progressively more senior and demanding roles, in several different departments within the Food Halls. Fleur’s final store appointment was as Senior Buyer, Charcuterie, Traiteur, Delicatessen and Frosted Foods, managing 55 staff and 80 suppliers. Fleur was then selected as one of the key individuals to spearhead a new company-wide SAP implementation to revolutionise the internal workings and supply chain.
